Embark leader admits Arc Raiders developers are "way more bad people than community"

buy arc raiders loot, for some reason, has attracted a group of players who aren’t entirely cutthroat. Sometimes they're even downright nice. Nobody is impressed more than Embark Studios. Their team is more bloodthirsty.

Robert Sammelin from Embark spoke of the Arc Raiders' playerbase being very nice to PCGamer. Robert Sammelin, art director at Embark, spoke about the Arc Raiders playerbase being so nice to PCGamer.

He reveals that during the testing they thought things might be a bit different based upon their own behavior. He continues, "I believe that when we playtest with devs we're worse people than community members in how we approach combat." "We had hoped to see more cooperation. But seeing people's social interactions is very heartwarming. It is really inspiring to see."

It is certainly quite nice. Arc Raiders encourages players to be uncompromising by allowing them to loot their dead bodies for anything they have gathered. So, you could watch someone gather something and then kill them to get the prize. Stats prove that this is not as common as one might think.

Sammelin: "We were surprised to find out how few people had been knocked down by other players. But there are also differences in the experience of playing as a group or alone. I also think it opens up for an entirely different experience depending on how one chooses to play the game.

Could it be that the killer robots are here? Perhaps we aren't as bad at multiplayer as many lobbyists make you think. Arc Raiders is proving one thing, so far: success doesn't require toxicity. And that's better than loot.

Arc Raiders is plagued by cheaters. The problem has gotten so bad, that Michael 'Shroud' Grzesiek a former pro player, streamer, and gamer, may even abandon the game.

Grzesiek was one of Arc Raiders most loud and public supporters, having encouraged his audience to rally around this extraction shooter in the midst of Game of the Year. He has also claimed that The Game Awards are "rigged", as Clair Obscur Expedition 33 was nominated 12 times while Arc Raiders received only one nomination.

Now, however, Arc Raiders' love affair with the streamer has cooled. In the video "Arc Raiders: A huge Problem", Shroud and his raiding crew were killed by multiple players, some of whom admitted cheating.

Grzesiek stated, "I mean, after I get five million dollars, I am ready to quit," once the session was nearly over. "I don't care. I'll just wait for The Expedition Window.

A YouTube commentator said: "Cheaters running wild will be the death of this game."

The fact that game developers are not permanently banning players who cheat is a major oversight, wrote another.

Third: "They need to shadowban cheaters, and let them battle it out themselves in their own rooms." Hear, hear.

According to Embark Studio’s FAQ page, the team uses a "mixture of both" temporary bans and permanent ones depending on the severity of a Code of Conduct infraction. It is not clear how long the first-time cheater's ban will last, or how many reports of cheating are required before a permanent suspension.
